La Ligue pour le bien-être de l'enfance du Canada (LBEC) tiendra sa réunion générale annuelle (RGA) le vendredi 23 mars 2012, à 9 h, dans la salle 801, 75 rue Albert, Ottawa (Ontario). Tous nos membres sont invités.

- Le rapport du president et du Chef de la direction
- L'état financier de 2010-2011
- L'élection du conseil d'administration

LBEC (La Ligue pour le bien-être de l’enfance du Canada) recherche des mises en candidature afin de combler les six sièges suivants au sein de son conseil d’administration pour un mandat de trois ans, débutant en mars 2012.

Plusieurs critères guident le comité qui prépare une liste de candidats parmi lesquels sont choisis des membres du conseil chaque année à l’occasion de l’Assemblée générale annuelle de la LBEC. Ces critères permettent au comité de composer une liste de membres du conseil qui pourront diriger efficacement la LBEC afin de réaliser son mandat.
Notre comité examinera attentivement les candidatures proposées dans le cadre de son travail.

CWLC Annual General Meeting
CWLC will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Fairmont Château Laurier, 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa, ON. All members are invited to attend.
Following the AGM, from 10:00am - 12:00pm, CWLC is pleased to welcome Sue O'Sullivan, Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime, who will speak to the audience about the changes she has brought to the office since assuming her post in 2010. All are welcome.

Child Sexual Abuse Prevention: What do we know? What do we need to know?
In this presentation, Dr. Finkelhor will examine his work and initiatives and present his findings into their effectiveness. He will also discuss developing areas for prevention, possible explanations for the sex crime decline and conclude with insights and recommendations for a national strategy.
A local panel of experts will reflect on the implications of Dr. Finkelhor’s recommendations for sexual abuse prevention for various sectors in our community prior to opening the floor for general discussion.
