There are three types of membership in the Child Welfare League of Canada, plus one bonus category.
This type of membership is for organizations that do not provide services directly to children or families, but support the work of the CWLC to ensure there is a strong voice in Canada for children and youth. Associate members include universities, social planning councils and non-governmental organizations. The Associate Member fee is $500/year.
This type of membership is for government departments and ministries charged with implementing legislation and regulations affecting children, youth and their families. There are two categories of Public Membership. Category 1 (AB, BC, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, QC, SK) fee is $5,000/year. Category 2 ((YK, NWT, NU, PEI) fee is $2,500/year.
This type of membership is for organizations providing services directly to children and families. Agencies with operating budgets under $2,250,000 pay $500/year. Agencies with operating budgets over $2,250,000 pay according to a scaled formula, up to a maximum of $5,000/year.
BONUS Sustaining Membership
This bonus membership category is optional for Associate, Public or Agency Member organizations that wish to contribute an additional fee per year to support the development of the CWLC. The cost of Sustaining Membership is $4,000/year in addition to regular membership fees. The benefits? Inclusion on CWLC letterhead, a Sustaining Member Certificate for your office, a place on the CWLC Wall of Fame in Ottawa, CWLC lapel pins for your executives, event discounts and more!
